Reason for the ERR message
ERR is shown when the dryer door is open or only partly shut; no cycle will run until it closes fully and latches.
Inspect the latch
- Looking shut is not the same as latched, so push the door firmly.
- Models fitted with two latches, top and bottom, need each one secured.
When it persists
Break power at the breaker(s) for 5 minutes, restore it, begin a timed dry cycle and keep checking the display over the next 5 minutes.
