Low or no line voltage message on a Maytag commercial dryer; check fuses, breakers and the power cord.

What this code means
F31
F31 (L2, Low or No Line Voltage) can stop the heater from turning on.
What the display is telling you
Control displaying F31 on a Maytag commercial dryer: an L2 code, for Low or No Line Voltage. The home power supply may be the problem, and as a result the heater cannot turn on.
Reset sequence
- Fuses and breakers: an electric dryer draws on two household fuses or breakers. See whether one has blown or tripped, then swap the fuse(s) or turn the dryer breaker off for 1 minute and back on.
- Power cord: it must be installed correctly, as the Installation Instructions describe.
- Then run a time dry cycle and keep an eye on the dryer for 1 minute.
If F31 reappears, the supply or the dryer needs a closer look.
