- Error code
- FC E8
- Appliance
- Microwave
FC E8 means registration did not go through. Re-enter the SAID number and confirm the appliance type and model.
Model compatibility: Maytag reuses codes across series and model years, so FC E8 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
What this code means
FC E8
FC E8 shows a registration error: the connected-appliance setup was not accepted, for example because of a wrong SAID number or wrong appliance type or model number.
What FC E8 is about
Unlike the other FC codes, FC E8 is not about the router. It comes up during registration of a connected over-the-range Maytag microwave and appears with a “Registration Error”.
Review your entries
Look at the SAID number first: if it was keyed in wrongly, the error appears, so try entering it again. Maytag points you to “SAID Location” in the “Other Info” section of its guide if you cannot find it. Then think back to the start of registration, where you picked the appliance type and model number. Picking the wrong ones also brings up the Registration Error.
